Day 0
Flew into Vancouver from San Francisco Thursday night with Nuri.
Day 1
Hiked up to Gariabldi Lake friday night. Great sunny weather at the start and a bit of intermittent rain as we got closer to the lake. The hike up to the lake was mostly snow free apart from the last 1 to 2 kilometers. We had a bit of trouble finding a tent pad without snow on it, but did end up finding one after a bit of searching.
Day 2
Woke up the next morning to hike Panorama ridge. Had a quick breakfast in one of the wooden shelters. We then made out way back to the trail and up to panorama ridge. After a few kilometers the snow got a lot deeper. As we reached the top the clouds broke for a bit to give us some great views of the lake and nearby mountains. We cooked a quick re-hyrdated meal each on top of the ridge to warm up and then headed back down. Once we got back down to the lake we packed up our tent at the campground and made our way back down to the car. Originally we were going to stay another night but we opted to head back early and spend some time in Vancouver. On the way down the clouds broke and we got a great view of the valley leading up to the lake.
We stopped at this great Persian resturant in North Vancouver on our way back.
