Left the bay after work and drove to Lake Isabella. Stayed at a little motel for the night.
Set off in the morning after grabbing breakfast at a nearby diner. Drove a long way till we got to Kelso Dunes in the Mojave Desert. Spent some time hiking up the dunes and then running (falling) down. We caught the sunset here before heading back on t he road to drive to the Grand Caynon.
We arrive to the Grand Canyon in the dark and we were staying at the lodge right at the rim. There was no moon in the sky and we got some great views of the night sky. In the picture with the starts the big black section at the bottom is the Grand Canyon. At the time I did not realize this and we just went to bed. In the morning I was quite suprised to see the rim of the Canyon just outside our door.
