Stayed at the Mellow Mountain Hostel in Stateline for two nights before driving back to San Francisco. The hostel was super convenient and was a 5 minute walk to the gondola.
There was not too much snow on the mountains and lots of rocks and trees poking out. Although when you’re skiing in November you can’t really complain about the conditions. We had a ton of fun skiing and some of our friends drove up to Tahoe to come skiing.
After skiing we spent some time hanging out at the hostel before heading to sleep.
On the last day we just skied the morning before finishing off the the 8 day road trip back in San Francisco. We grabbed burritos in the Mission before calling it a night.
This road trip was an amazing way to spend my first Thanksgiving in the states. There was tons of driving and very little plannnig but we got to see and do a lot.
I’m really grateful Ajay decided to join especially when there really wasn’t much of a plan beyond drive east and then drive west.
Quoting our lovely waitress in Arizona “they make it how they make it” and I coudldn’t have made a better trip if I tried. Although I maybe would have skipped the mexican resturant in Page before sleeping in the Vail Walmart parking lot…
